How It Works

1. Apply online with a $25 application investment (not a “fee”). It helps support VOW for Girls and covers the hands-on time our team spends reading every story and hand-selecting Semi-Finalists.


2. Board selects Semi-Finalists. Semi-Finalists appear on our website for a two-week public voting window—votes are free and supporters are encouraged to donate to VOW.

Top 12 couples (board + voting insight) become Playbook Cover Couples.

The board also selects 1–4 couples for the Style Bible back cover (we are launching with 1 and may scale to 4 as we grow).


3. Winners must provide high-quality professional wedding-day photos.

Official cover portraits are photographed at the Bridal Blueprint Retreat—applying is open to all; for selected Cover Couples, attending the Retreat is required to finalize cover status (so we can capture those signature portraits).

Winners revealed → Creative direction begins on your editorial moment. Winning designer and/or boutique will be contacted regarding their placement in the published issues.


4. The Bridal Playbook releases—winners are showcased and receive assets to share with loved ones. (Style Bible timing announced seasonally.)

Eligibility

- Engaged or newly married within the past 18 months (any location, all cultures, all sizes).

- 18+ and able to grant image usage rights (you and your photographer/creatives).

- Willing to participate in interview, styling guidance, and content timelines.

Photography & Assets (Top 5 Must-Have)

We require professional wedding photography so your story prints flawlessly in our global editions.

Please submit high-resolution, professionally captured images (no watermarks). Preferred specs: 3000–5000px on long edge, 300 dpi, JPG/PNG (RAW links acceptable via gallery).

Retreat perk: Selected Cover Couples capture official cover portraits at the Bridal Blueprint Retreat.

Content & Usage (Plain-English Summary)

You affirm you own—or can secure—permission to share any content you submit. If selected, you grant Polished Brides the right to publish, edit, and promote content across print/digital, social, PR, and partner channels. Editorial timelines, layouts, and final selections are at our discretion. Travel/personal expenses are not included unless explicitly stated.

Does it cost anything to apply?

There’s a $25 application investment (not a fee). It helps support VOW for Girls and covers our team’s time to thoughtfully review every application and hand-select Semi-Finalists.

Do I need professional photographer?

Yes—so your feature meets our print/editorial standards. Please provide hi-res, professionally captured images (no watermarks). Selected Cover Couples also receive on-site cover portraits at the Bridal Blueprint Retreat.

What if my wedding is months away?

Amazing—apply early. In your application, share your love story and a few non-professional photos (phone snaps are fine). Early applicants get guidance from our Blueprint Retreat framework—style planning, timeline, and must-capture shots—so your images are publication-ready later.

How it flows: (1) Apply now with story + non-pro images and the $25 application investment. (2) When your professional wedding photos are ready, upload your hi-res gallery—that’s when your application enters the official judging round. (3) If selected as a Cover Couple, you’ll capture official cover portraits at the Bridal Blueprint Retreat (attendance required to finalize cover status).

Fast-track dates (2025–2026): Because we plan far in advance, we offer select editorial opportunities for couples marrying in 2025–2026. This pathway may not include the Retreat portrait experience, but your love story can still be editorially captured and published in our ecosystem (subject to selection and image quality).

How does voting work?

Semi-Finalists are featured for a two-week public voting window. Votes are free, and supporters are invited to make a VOW donation if they wish.

Are international couples eligible?

Yes—global applications are welcome and encouraged. We want to celebrate—all cultures, sizes, orientations, ages 18+, and locations.

Can we still apply if we had a micro-wedding or elopement?

Absolutely. Editorial is about story, style, and image quality—not guest count.

If selected, do we have to attend the Retreat?

Applying is open to all; however, selected Cover Couples must attend the Bridal Blueprint Retreat for official cover portraits to finalize cover status.

How is VOW for Girls involved?

We contribute a portion of proceeds to VOW for Girls to help end child marriage. Small badge, big impact.
